A renewed Mamec aims for yet more demanding challenges
Mamec’s more than 70-year history is a story of both successes and challenging periods. Now, the winds are once again at its back. Mamec has been modernized, again claiming its position as a respected specialist in mixing solutions.
Mamec is now building towards the future with purpose and ambition. According to Managing Director Hannu Ryynänen, the new rise was powered by a total renewal of the business culture and a more systematic, active approach across all activities.
“We’ve created the new Mamec primarily with our Business Area Director Martti Heikkilä. His extensive experience and expertise in the mixing business are in a class of their own. How could we get Mamec back to the level it deserves? Together, we made an action plan,” says Ryynänen.
The pair already had a high-quality product portfolio on their hands. They decided to begin approaching, and serving, customers in a way that met the most stringent requirements of the modern process industry.
“Mamec has evolved from a company into a corporation – which required a cultural shift both in our mixer business and internal operations. We wanted to convert the business into a systematically running machine with certain structural functionalities and regularities. Of course, our customers are at the core of everything. In service to them we’ve invested both in the skills of our staff as well as our sales and promotional materials.”
Cutting-edge mixing solutions for all process industry needs
Ryynänen and Heikkilä’s development work soon began to bear fruit – customers found Mamec again and discovered its mixing solutions to be a match for their requirements.
“We’ve now put together four years of successes, and we’re once again recognized as a leader in our industry. Our course is set in a direction where we’re ready to serve increasingly demanding customers and larger projects.”
Mamec is an established supplier in the pulp and paper industry and is deeply involved in various sectors of the water treatment, renewable energy and process industries. Going forward, they’ll also offer their high-quality mixing solutions to new segments, including the mining industry and the battery chemicals sector within the electric vehicle value chain.
The ambition is high – but so are the company’s capabilities. Ironclad professionalism, process knowledge and deep domain expertise are now reinforced by their new customer orientation and ability to implement solutions that genuinely support customers’ production and businesses in a rapidly changing environment.
But the foundation of it all is total reliability – and to that end, ensuring that as much as possible is done under one roof.
“By avoiding long subcontractor chains, we can better manage production, product quality and security of supply. Our industrial operating model is also tied to our strategy to embed lean philosophy into all our operations, which will also be reflected in our customers’ experiences,” promises Ryynänen.
Building the future together with customers
Mamec’s aim is to be the leading supplier of mixing solutions for the pulp and paper industry globally, but they are also heavily invested in renewable energy and water treatment projects.
“We’ve already built strong trust with key customers, even outperforming the world-class solutions of a top competitor in the industry.”
At the beginning of 2025, Ryynänen looks to the future with confidence. Mamec is ready and eager to implement new, successful projects that solve customer challenges while improving their production and business operations.
“The new website we’ve launched reflects the new era for Mamec. There, customers can more easily find out more about our services, solutions and – above all – the benefits we offer. The site is also a quick way to find the right contact person. This is important, because we exist to meet the needs of our customers,” Ryynänen emphasizes.
“This year we’ll be expanding our website to cover our full portfolio of services, including contract manufacturing. Stay tuned!”
