Precise flow management for wastewater treatment
The removal of organic matter and other pollutants from municipal or industrial wastewater is a process with specific requirements for each. Mixing the water mass correctly – and delicately if necessary – requires a deep understanding of the various flows, and carefully selected, effective solutions to manage them.
For over 70 years, Mamec has specialized in the management and optimization of various industrial mixing processes. Our extensive technological expertise and process-oriented solutions are also strengths in water treatment. We’ve been designing and implementing water mixing processes since the turn of the century. We can offer our expertise to design a new wastewater treatment plant or industrial water treatment process, upgrade existing solutions or make repairs to particularly demanding sites.
Efficient methods for industrial process water treatment
Industrial wastewater treatment is driven by both cost-effectiveness and increasingly stringent environmental requirements. Meeting these requirements will require increasingly sophisticated and energy-efficient treatment processes, including, where appropriate, the reuse of water in a circular economy.
Industrial wastewater is generally treated either as part of the plant’s own process or in a municipal treatment plant. Mamec offers functional, cost-effective and durable solutions for either. We offer process expertise and technology for industrial water flotation and microflotation, among others. Mixing is a critical part of these processes, in which solids and contaminants are collected on the surface of gas bubbles for removal.
Expert solutions for municipal wastewater treatment
Municipal wastewater treatment usually treats all urban water, with typical process steps that include bar screening, flocculation and aeration.
Mixing is a significant factor in flocculation, where chemicals are used to concentrate organic matter and contaminants into uniform flocs that are then removed from the water by filtration. During aeration, oxygen is introduced into the wastewater, which bacteria need to break down organic matter to purify the water.
The right water flows are critical in purification processes, and controlling their direction and intensity is a skill. Mamec has strong expertise in water mixing needs, and a wide range of standards-compliant and proven technologies. We can find the mixing solutions that exactly match the quality of the water and the impurities.
